Lusaka, Zambia, 14 October 2026. Dot Com Zambia PLC was honoured today to host Ambassador Mumba Kapumpa, a pioneer of the Lusaka Securities Exchange, at our offices in Lusaka.
Ambassador Kapumpa met with our Founder and CEO, Mawano Kambeu, and the two reflected on the growth of the Lusaka Securities Exchange since its early days. The Ambassador expressed his delight at seeing Dot Com Zambia listed on the Lusaka Securities Exchange Alternative Market (Alt-M), the first technology company, and the first company overall, to list on the market.

A Visit with Special Meaning
The visit carries special meaning for the company. Ambassador Kapumpa helped build the market on which Dot Com Zambia now trades, so his words come from someone who has watched it grow from its earliest days. Dot Com Zambia's listing in December 2025 was a milestone for the company and for the Alt-M, a market built to give growth-oriented Zambian businesses access to capital, and the company's IPO was recently named Equity Deal of the Year at the 2026 Zambia Capital Markets Conference and Awards (ZCMCA). Hearing from one of the architects of Zambia's capital market that its early work is bearing fruit is a recognition the company values deeply.
