Where It All Began
In 2009, Dot Com Zambia was originally established as one of Zambia's pioneering e-commerce companies. Founded by Mawano Kambeu, the company emerged during a time when Zambia's digital landscape was still in its early stages. With limited internet access and few online platforms, Dot Com Zambia helped bridge the gap between Zambian consumers and the global marketplace, providing digital convenience and international delivery services to local customers.

In 2015, Dot Com Zambia underwent a significant transformation with the formation of BookNow Zambia Limited, marking a new chapter in the company's evolution. This period saw strategic investors, Kukula Capital and eVentures Africa Fund, join the journey, bringing both local insight and international expertise to support the company's growth and expansion in Zambia's technology sector.

That same year, DCZ made history as the first pure-technology company to list on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) Alternative Market — a milestone that celebrates both innovation and national progress. This achievement represents more than financial success; it's a statement of belief in Zambia's capacity to build, lead, and inspire in the digital age.
